Nautiska Magasinet

Constantly monitoring future developments, Nautiska Magasinet is able to supply official electronic charts from both IC-ENC/UKHO and Primar Stavanger. The coverage of the official ENC data is now rapidly growing satisfying global needs. Regulations are evolving towards allowing paperless navigation, in some cases also making the use of ECDIS mandatory. The growing number of electronic publications from for example IMO and UKHO is of course also available through us.

Nautiska Magasinet will always keep up-to-date with carriage regulations according to IMO/SOLAS. We will also keep track of how the different flag states adopt these regulations into national legislation.

Primar

Nautiska Magasinet sells official electronic charts directly from Primar. Primar is offering an extensive interactive online chart catalogue which includes a voyage planning tool for choosing charts. The charts are weekly updated and the updates can be customized and received electronically through the Primar Online Service (free of charge). Primar which have been a leading force within ENC development is operated by the Norwegian Hydrographic Service.

UK Hydrographic Office

UK Hydrographic Office acts as a value added distributor for IC-ENC (International Centre for ENCs). Nautiska Magasinet which have a long tradition of selling UKHO Admiralty products offers you the full range of ICENC charts and other Admiralty digital products. UKHO’s basic ENC product is the “Admiralty ENC Service” which provides a world wide selection of ENCs including weekly updates. UKHO also provides an official raster chart service – ARCS. Those charts are exact digital copies of the world-leading BA paper charts and have the same familiar appearance. Like in the ENC Service, weekly updates are included in the price.

An Admiralty ECDIS Service has also been launched, which brings the widely used ARCS raster based product together with the ENCs into a single seamless “dual-fuel” service. The Admiralty ECDIS Service is the first digital chart service to supply a combination of electronic charts for ECDIS that can fully meet the IMO ECDIS performance standards. In areas where ENCs may not yet be available ARCS charts may, with flag state approval, be used in ECDIS for primary navigation. Admiralty ECDIS Service allows you to order from a range of regional folios, and ENCs are automatically added to these folios as soon as they become available. The price of each folio is fixed to simplify ordering and to not make costs unpredictable when new ENCs become available. All charts in the service are kept up to date with weekly corrections.

The Admiralty Digital List of Lights has been designed to meet SOLAS carriage requirements and uses exactly the same official data as provided in the paper Admiralty List of Lights. The Digital List of Lights has an attractive pricing, but also saves huge work previously needed to keep the paper publication up to date. Customized electronic updates can be received via e-mail. Also the Admiralty List of Radio Signal is available in a similar electronic version
