Nautiska Magasinet offers a full range of outfit management services. Our basic outfit management product is the New Edition Service accompanied by the Web Folio Viewer.
Products registered in the service will be automatically despatched to ship as soon as a new edition becomes available. The Web Folio Viewer gives detailed information about latest edition dates, which editions that are on board and also when a new edition will be published (if known). The information is accessible via a customer login on our web site, but can also be e-mailed or faxed on a regular basis.
We will be very happy to assist you to build up and maintain folios for different trading routes and ships. The use of the New Edition Service and the Web Folio Viewer is free of charge.
We also offer a ship based software “DFANS” which is a complete tool for remote electronic updating and outfit management on board. This service gives the possibility of receiving customized Notices to Mariners, Tracings and Coloured Blocks via e-mail. The latest data compression techniques are used to minimize data transfer costs.
For those with very limited bandwidth so-called “ plotting sheets”, which is a simplified type of tracing, are a good alternative. The DFANS highly facilitate the maintenance of corrections lists and logs which can be organized and printed. Moreover, the DFANS contains a fully updated UKHO catalogue which can be used for example to facilitate orders of new products.
Of course we can also provide you with printed Notices to Mariners as well as Tracings. The easiest way to receive this information is through an annual subscription with weekly delivery. Despatches to all ports of the world can be arranged at competitive rates. We offer NtM from Hydrographic Offices in a number of countries including United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway.
